REgistered nutritional therapist Lisa Blair
BA (HONS), DIP BCNH, MBANT, CNHC.
I studied at a nutrition college called BCNH and after four years of training I qualified with a distinction. In more recent years I studied with the renowned Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM) and have completed their foundation module (AMFCP) as well as their Advanced Gastrointestinal and Nutrition Modules. Functional Medicine focuses on a highly individualised and scientifically based approach to health with the emphasis on addressing underlying imbalances rather than just dealing with a set of symptoms. I apply this approach to all my clinical cases.
In 2007 I started working at the busy Food Doctor Clinic and continued with them until they sadly closed the clinic side of their business at the end of 2016.
In 2010 I became a Metabolic Balance coach and and have used this weight management programme with much success since this time.
I am a bit of an information junkie and keep up to date with the fast changing world of nutrition. I dedicate time each month to professional development.
In a previous life I was a management consultant, so completely understand the nature of stress, having no time, eating badly and feeling permanently exhausted. I therefore have first hand experience of how simple diet and lifestyle changes can make massive difference to how you feel.
PROFESSIONALLY QUAILIFIED AND REGISTERED.
I am a fully qualified and registered member of the British Association of Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT), the Nutritional Therapy Council (NTC) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and am fully insured to practice Nutritional Therapy.
In the October 2010 the Department of Health GP Bulletin requested that all GP's and Chief Nursing Officers recommend patients seeking complementary therapies to consult with practitioners who are registered with the CNHC.
